Mommy and Me Portraits

for mothers and children of all ages

This experience starts the second you inquire. Once you reach out, I'll send you a few dates and times to schedule a 30-minute video chat/ phone call with me. I do this for several reasons:

-It gives me the opportunity to get to know you and your family which ultimately means I'll be able to photograph y'all better

-It gives me the opportunity to understand your vision, or even come up with a vision together if you don't have any ideas

-Most importantly it gives YOU the opportunity to get to know me a little better so that by the time your photoshoot rolls around, we'll be comfortable enough to capture some authentic photos

If we're both on board with the vision, I'll take your session fee on this call, and you'll be officially booked!!!!!!!

Once you're booked..

We'll schedule one more phone/video call a little closer to your session to answer all your questions. On this call we'll finalize your wardrobe, any props you'd like to bring, location, and then I'll give you a checklist of all the things you'll want to think about in the days leading up to your session. (what snacks to bring, how to incentivize your kiddos, etc.)

THE PHOTOSHOOT

This part's pretty simple

During your consultation, we'll decide on an "activity" to be doing during your session. This can be as simple as reading books on a picnic blanket or as complex as painting on an easel at the park. This takes all the stress away from posing and trying to get your kids to look photogenic. The great thing is, when kids are in their element, they're naturally photogenic.

I'll be a fly on the wall while you interact with each other naturally, and I'll capture whatever energy they bring to the table. Some kids are naturally sweet and calm, while others are chaotic and goofy. We'll let them lead.

After about 45 minutes*, I'll ask if you had anything specific you'd like a photo of, and if not, then we'll pack up and walk back to the car!

*I'll always take the lead of you and your kiddos. Sometimes we're having lots of fun painting each other and we hang out for an hour. Sometimes the kiddos (or grownups) are getting overstimulated and ready to call it. One of my special skills is recognizing those signs and wrapping it up no matter how much time has passed. We want this to be a good experience, so my motto is Quit before the Magic Stops.

What to expect after?

After we've exhausted all of our ideas (and our children), you have two options.

a.) you'll head to lunch (on me), and after an hour or so, we'll meet up at a coffee shop nearby to view your images

b.) we'll both head home and meet up a week later without the kids to view your images

The reason I give you the option is because I know being a mom is HECTIC! Sometimes it's easier to power through one long day (about 3 hours start to finish) than it is to schedule a SECOND time to meet. I asked my previous clients what they'd prefer, and the results were exactly 50/50.

We'll discuss this at your first consultation and decide it at your second.

FAQ

How many images does each album come with?

Each album gets one photo per page meaning that a 10 page album has 10 images.

What if I want an album for my child?

A "companion album" is a super common product that my Mommy and Me clients add on! These start at $200

How long before I get to hold my photos?!

About 4 weeks from the date of your last payment! This means if you pay in full at your ordering appointment, you'll be holding your brand new album in about a month!

Do I get to design my own album?

I will give you as much input as you'd like to have! Some clients have a very specific vision for the cover, and others just want me to take this off their plate!

What else can I do with my images?

I'm so glad you asked! Photo albums are certainly my most popular item, but they're not my favorite by far! I offer 3 other printed products
- Framed Portraits
- Gallery Wall
- Span

Please please please ask me about these in your consultation!!! <3

"The girls declared this their best photo shoot ever, and I couldn't agree more. Unlike previous family sessions, this one felt fresh and exciting. Kylie captured the joy and energy of our time together, creating beautiful and precious moments that we'll treasure for years to come. Her artwork is truly special, and we're so grateful to have it."
