The Ball at the Grand Hotel
At the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, they have dancing and live music every night during the summer. It’s essentially a ball. The dress code is very fancy and the orchestra plays fancy music and the servers wear fancy uniforms. For a 24 year old who grew up thinking that Olive Garden was fancy, this place was really really fancy. One night, all us girls in the dorm decided to attend- none of the boys had fancy enough attire. We dressed up in the nicest dresses we owned and painted the town! But before we took our horse drawn pumpkin carriage up to the Grand, we stopped at the grocery for some snacks. Here are the photos I took:
