"I felt empowered, sexy, and free. More than I've ever felt naked."
I pamper them!
They feel pampered from start to finish. We meet at a salon in Green Lake where they get their hair and makeup done while we chat over a coffee from my favorite local coffee shop. Once they’re all glammed up, I drive us in my 2020 car with heated seats to our photoshoot location. Just these two things alone help alleviate the biggest two stressors of a photoshoot. Doing your hair and makeup and having to drive AND PARK somewhere you’ve never been before.
Female Gaze by a Female Gay
I photograph through the female gaze. This means I take note of the smallest things that they wish someone would notice and appreciate about themselves. We all dream of being seen and pinned after like Kate Winslet in the Titanic, and that’s where my expertise in the female gaze comes in.
I use the two-week rule
I don’t overly retouch my images. Moms love this because there’s nothing worse than getting photos back and realizing they don’t look like you. One big reason people do these types of sessions is to gain confidence about their bodies, and it can be so hurtful when a photographer edits your body and changes things you weren’t even self conscious about to begin with!! I’ll never change your body beyond the two week rule- read about that here:
